The Paper Crane Project
The Paper Crane Project is a Girl Scout Gold Award Project, the highest possible award for a Girl Scout. It is aimed to spread hope and healing through origami by providing Circle Of Hope, a local cancer wellness center, with an art installation of 1000 paper cranes by employing the help of fellow girl scouts, Circle of Hope visitors, and the community.
About Me
My name is Kiley Gustin and I am a Junior at West Ranch High School. I have been a Girl Scout since kindergarten and am currently an Ambassador. I have earned my Bronze and Silver awards and am working towards my Gold Award!

History
Origami cranes or "Orizuru" are a classic design in Japanese Origami. The crane is a strong symbol of good luck and happiness, as well as hope and healing during challenging times. An ancient Japanese legend promises that anyone who folds 1,000 origami cranes will be granted a wish.

My Goals

To teach Girl Scouts, Circle of Hope patients, and my community the art of folding origami
